Ramaphosa's embarrassment before the Arab league, is a stain on our continent.

IT WAS a formidable coalition comprising Egypt, Turkey, Qatar & the United States that signed yesterday’s Middle East peace deal, guaranteeing security for the region. Backed by Jordan, Pakistan, Italy and other countries, the plan orchestrated by the Trump administration will see a reset to the period of Abraham Accords. A series of deals made immediately prior to the disastrous October Massacre, with Indonesia touted to join the next round of accords recognizing a common basis for Muslim, Christian and Jewish coexistence.

Gaza itself will be boarded, placed under a transitional authority governed by technocrats by the Arab states, many of whom will contribute financial aid required in rebuilding the strip in the aftermath of the war. Notably absent was our President Ramaphosa, who seems absolutely clueless when it comes to Middle East politics.

Instead of attending the signing ceremony in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, South African’s were being entertained by a steady stream of chrome blue Lamborghinis’s being seized from his nephew Hangwani Maumela’, by the Special Investigation Unit.

If anything symbolized the Ramaphosa’s administration total disregard for our country and its economy when it comes to the impact of a disastrous foreign policy, then it was the juxtaposition of an absentee leader, singing the virtue of European foreign aid on x.com, whilst yet another corruption scandal broke at home.

The return of Israeli hostages taken on 7/10 brings an end to a war that South Africa continues to deny even occurred, with the President preferring to falsely accuse Israel of launching an offensive against Gaza on the very same day.
